Seth has been part of our family for almost a month now. He will celebrate his one month birthday on the 28th. He's growing very quickly. At his 2 week doctor appointment he had grown over an inch and put on 8 ounces. We figure that he has probably grown another inch and a few ounces since then. He is so cute and such a good baby. He generally only cries if he's hungry and we try to feed him before he gets too upset. He sleeps most of the night, usually only waking up once to eat. We are very grateful for that! He has started cooing a little and every once in a while we catch him half smiling. I'm excited that he is becoming more and more aware of his surroundings and that soon he will smile and want to be cuddled.

Seth's blessing will happen the first Sunday in September. The 7th I think... Our sacrament meeting starts at 10:40-45 if anyone would like to come. Call us for directions. The church is just one street east of our house. We will have a potluck lunch at our house after the meeting.

We are still waiting to hear back from a company that James has interviewed three times with. They keep telling us that they will have a decision on a certain day, and then they don't have it made yet. It's been quite frustrating since it's the only job lead we've had. Hopefully, we will hear from them by the end of this week. James has been doing contract work for a local mortgage company and his former employer asked him to work for 10 hours a week, so we have a little bit of income coming in. We are praying continually that James will be able to find work soon before our savings run out.

I have been spending my time recovering from the c-section surgery and feeding the baby. He is getting better at eating, but feedings still average 45 minutes to an hour each. I'm hoping that as Seth gets older that he will become more efficient at it. My c-section incision is mostly healed. I was able to drive again last week and the pain is very minimal now. Sometimes I forget that I have the incision until I have to sneeze or cough, those two actions seem to cause the most pain.

We had a really funny experience the other day, or I should say that James had a funny experience. He was holding the baby right after we had eaten dinner, and look down at his shirt and noticed a light greenish piece of something on his shirt. Thinking that it was something he spilled on himself during dinner, he wiped it up with his finger and stuck it in his mouth. I heard him yell "Ewwww, Ewwww, Ewwww" and went to see what was up. Apparently the baby's diaper had leaked on him and he had just had a nice taste of baby poop!! Jenni and I laughed our heads off. There are pictures in the photo gallery of the stain left on his shirt.

I think that's all for this letter. We'd like to thank everyone who has helped us since the baby was born. We wouldn't have done so well without all of your support!

We hope everyone is doing well and love you all!

Love, Miekka and James
