My own blog...

Because I've enjoyed reading all the blogs from friends and family, I've decided to write my own personal blog.  I'll still be updating the family blog now and again, but this one is just for my own rantings and ravings. 

My first blog is a little bit of a rant I guess.  I need to vent my frustration at trying to find semi-decent maternity clothes....  In particular, maternity skirts.  I only have one right now and it's just not enough to wear the same stinkin' skirt every single Sunday.  I've been squeezing into my non-maternity skirts, but I think I've finally gotten to the point where comfort is more important than having some variety.  So I went shopping for skirts.  If you know me at all, you know that I am super cheap, especially when it comes to buying clothes for myself.  If an item costs more than about 15 bucks it's probably too expensive in my eyes.  I've looked at several stores and I can't even find an expensive skirt that I like, let alone one for 10 bucks...  Let me just say that maternity skirts are BORING, it seems that they only come in black and if they aren't black they are too short. I understand the practicality of having a nice black skirt, but again, I can't wear the same black skirt every week.  So, what to do?  I need something to wear this Sunday.  I can't even find a sewing pattern that I like, and if I did find one, I'd probably spend 5 or 6 hours sewing a skirt that might not even look good once I was finished.  So I'm at a dead end.  I just needed to vent, maybe James will watch the boys so I can go shopping again this week.  I think I'll start looking in the plus sizes and see if there are any stretchy skirts that could be used as a maternity skirt.  Wish me luck.
